How to Compare Bentonite Cat Litter Samples
Practical sourcing notes for importers, wholesalers and repackers.
Start with your actual use
Before comparing samples, write down your intended market, preferred granule size, packaging and the properties you need to evaluate. A single photograph cannot establish size distribution or performance.
Keep conditions consistent
Use the same sample quantity, liquid, liquid volume, contact time and handling method for each sample. Record those conditions so another person can repeat the comparison. This is a practical comparison, not a substitute for an agreed laboratory method.
Observe the properties that matter
Record granule appearance, clump formation, handling after a consistent waiting time and visible dust under the same pouring conditions. Avoid describing visible dust observations as a measured airborne dust value.
Agree on acceptance before ordering
Discuss the selected grade, sample identification, agreed test method and acceptance criteria. Confirm how a production shipment will be compared with the agreed sample.
